How to Open an Encrypted Email.

The first time the recipient opens an encrypted e-mail a registration process to create a user ID and password is required.

1. Click the Link in the Email. Clicking the link will open a web browser or a new tab.
2. Click Register
3. Complete the online form and submit. You will receive an email confirming your submission for your records.
4. Once the form has been completed and submitted, “x” out of that window to go back to the original email.
5. Click the same link in the original email again.
6. Verify that the information is correct and enter your newly created password.
7. Click Open.

*NOTE* – Click “Continue to the Website (not recommended)” if this warning pops up.

Encrypted e-mails will open up in the Fortinet e-mail platform. E-mail will remain in the browser for up to 30 days. E-mails can be replied to, deleted of kept for a period of no more than 30 days.

To exit simply click the Log Out button and close the window, or tab.
